During the COVID-19 pandemic, one of our co-founders fell victim to a crypto 'guru' investment scam. They had been careful. The loss was still real.
What happened next
On top of the scam, their crypto wallet was later hacked, and they lost a significant sum. The lesson they carry is plain: scams are engineered. Even a cautious, informed person can be caught. It is not about intelligence.
They know first-hand the financial loss, the shame, the sleepless nights, and how isolating it feels.
Why MSK42DAO exists
That pain became the motivation, so that no one else, especially our parents' generation and young people, has to go through the same thing. MSK42DAO was born to turn the experience into practical protection: hands-on digital fire drills and AI-assisted verification habits, so survivors and seniors can become protectors in their own communities.
