What is MSK42DAO?
MSK42DAO is a social enterprise in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It empowers seniors, youths, families, and small businesses with AI skills to prevent online scams, through the signature CyberDrill programme and the curriculum behind it. CyberDrill is hands-on: digital fire drills that build AI-assisted verification habits. MSK is Musang King, a symbol of Made by Malaysia: Malaysia's prized durian, homegrown and world-class, for a Malaysian-built initiative for Malaysians. 42 comes from Douglas Adams' The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, where it is the Answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything, and from geek and hacker (leet) culture, where that joke is well known. For us it means seeking answers and staying curious. 道 means the way, as in Digital Adoption Organization. MSK42DAO is an approved Aspiring Social Enterprise (Tunas Perusahaan Sosial).
Why was MSK42DAO started?
During the COVID-19 pandemic, one of our co-founders fell victim to a crypto 'guru' investment scam, and later lost a significant sum when their wallet was hacked, even though they had been careful. The shame, the sleepless nights, and how isolating that felt became the reason to protect others, especially our parents' generation and young people. MSK42DAO turns that lived experience into hands-on digital fire drills, verification habits, and training so survivors and seniors can become protectors: from victim, to survivor, to protector. Having been through it, we know exactly what the traps look like, and we can teach others to spot them.

It means MSK42DAO is an approved Aspiring Social Enterprise (Tunas Perusahaan Sosial). The Aspiring Social Enterprise badge shown on this website is the recognition mark for that status.
Is MSK42DAO only about cryptocurrency?
The mission is to empower seniors, youths, families, and small businesses with AI skills to prevent online scams. Cryptocurrency is part of that wider work, not the whole of it. CyberDrill, the signature programme, is hands-on digital fire drills.
How can I spot an online scam?
Pause when a call, message, or advert uses fear or promises fast money or an easy job. Do not share a TAC, OTP, password, or control of your phone. A bank, the police, or a government office will not ask you to move money to a safe account. Open the official app or website yourself. Do not trust a link or QR code from a stranger. You can check a suspicious message or screenshot in SNOS, then confirm with an official channel.
What should I do if a scam just happened?
Call 997, the National Scam Response Centre, if a scam has just happened, and call your bank. 997 is the emergency line for that situation. It is not MSK42DAO's phone number, and it is not a general complaints desk. Make a police report as well. Official steps for the 997 hotline are on the Malaysia government NSRC 997 page. What is SNOS?
SNOS (Say No to Online Scams) is MSK42DAO's free AI web app at snos-ai.io. You can check suspicious messages and screenshots, scan QR codes with quishing protection, read today's scam alerts, follow guided reporting to official channels, and check a password or email breach.
Is SNOS free, and is it a government app?
SNOS is free. It is a community tool. It is not an official government app.
